In a supremely disappointing decision, niche publisher XSEED -- most popular for bringing obscure Japanese games to the west on PlayStation platforms -- announced today that it would not be bringing Vanillaware's Grand Knights History to the west as previously planned. Grand Knights History is a PSP RPG that received a 36 out of 40 from prestigious Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.
"XSEED Games has confirmed it will not publish Grand Knights History in North America as previously announced," XEED's PR representative wrote. "Unfortunately, it was determined that development resources required to localize the game were not available, necessitating its cancellation. We regret not being able to bring the game to our fans, but we are committed to our 2012 lineup and look forward to sharing more on these games in the coming weeks and months."
The publisher announced its intention to publish the game in North America back in September of 2011.
